Enhesa announces acquisition of HCB

Enhesa, backed by CGE Partners, acquires HCB, a publisher of global insights on the transport and storage of dangerous goods

LONDON, 26th October 2021

Enhesa, the global compliance and sustainability content business backed by CGE Partners, is excited to announce it has completed the acquisition of HCB magazine and website. Established in 1980, HCB publishes key insights on the transport, handling, and storage of dangerous goods. Global in scope, it covers regulatory developments in the sector and brings its readers news and insight that aim to make their operations safer, compliant, and more efficient.

Through the HCB monthly magazine, HCBLive.com website and news alerts, HCB covers the transport and storage of all types of dangerous goods, with focus on liquid chemicals, liquefied gases, explosives, and other hazardous articles. It reports on all modes of transport: road, rail, maritime (bulk and packaged), inland waterway and air, making it a leading international resource for the dangerous goods professional.

This news closely follows Enhesa’s recent acquisition of sustainable chemistry company, Scivera, on 11 October 2021 and marks the third add-on acquisition for Enhesa since CGE’s initial investment – the first being Chemical Watch in December 2020.

Peter Schramme, CEO at Enhesa, commented: “I’m very pleased to welcome HCB into the Enhesa family. HCB supports our mission at Enhesa to help build a safer, more sustainable world by covering the vital stage of safe transportation between the suppliers, the manufacturer, and the customer. HCB’s global coverage and regulatory expertise dovetails with our existing operations and product compliance brands and in particular complements Chemical Watch’s news & insight coverage of product lifecycle, product compliance and chemicals management.”

Peter Mackay, Editor at HCB, commented: “I’m delighted for the business to move to Enhesa, and to work closely with the editorial team at Chemical Watch to provide customers with specific coverage of global transport safety regulations and related news and insight. Jointly, our news offering covers even more of the lifecycle of products, and I look forward to further developing content services that meet the needs of global supply chains.”
