CGE-backed Enhesa completes acquisition of ToxPlanet
Enhesa, backed by CGE Partners, has completed the acquisition of ToxPlanet, the world’s largest database of chemical hazard and toxicology literature.
LONDON, 5th July 2022
Enhesa, the leading provider of global regulatory and sustainability intelligence, backed by CGE Partners (“CGE”), is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of ToxPlanet, the world’s largest database of chemical hazard and toxicology literature. ToxPlanet’s subscription-based platform delivers the relevant literature chemical safety professionals need to manage the impact of chemicals on people, the workplace, and the environment. The deal marks the fourth add-on acquisition for Enhesa since CGE backed the company in July 2020.
Peter Schramme, CEO at Enhesa, commented: “I am excited for the ToxPlanet team to join the Enhesa group. Our mission at Enhesa is to empower businesses to create a more sustainable future and ToxPlanet fundamentally adds to that with easily accessible scientific literature. ToxPlanet complements Enhesa’s previous acquisitions, Chemical Watch, the leading global provider of independent intelligence and insights for chemical product safety, and Scivera, the leader in sustainable chemistry, providing the software and insight businesses need to take a proactive approach to safe product development. These combined capabilities have helped Enhesa carve out a unique position in the marketplace as the only company of its kind to provide a truly comprehensive, 360° view of global operations, product and chemicals management compliance and sustainability.”
Matt Timberlake, Founder and CEO of ToxPlanet, remarked: “I am delighted ToxPlanet has joined forces with Enhesa and to have found a partner who shares our mission to improve the safety of workplaces and impact of chemicals on the environment. Together we are making it possible for multinational corporations to address the full spectrum of operational and strategic decisions they need to make as they confront the change in the sustainable chemistry space in both reporting and accurately identifying the potentially hazardous chemicals in their products and broader supply chains.”
