CGE Partners acquires Enhesa in first deal for firm

CGE Partners announces that it has invested in Enhesa, the fast growing global environmental, health and safety compliance intelligence platform.

LONDON, 20th July 2020

CGE Partners (“CGE”) today announces that it has invested in Enhesa (“the company”), the fast growing global environmental, health and safety (“EHS”) compliance intelligence platform. The deal marks the first acquisition for CGE, following the firm’s launch in October 2019, and sits in a core area of its investment focus of technology enabled business services.

Enhesa’s platform provides mission-critical information services and actionable content to many of the world’s biggest companies on a recurring subscription basis, helping them to understand, act on and comply with local EHS regulation. Enhesa is the global leader in its industry, using its team of 75 multi-lingual analysts to provide clear, frequently updated advice on EHS regulations. Enhesa helps develop and deliver industry-benchmark tools, provides audit and management support and offers key regulatory intelligence for over 290 jurisdictions.

Headquartered in Brussels with offices in the US, Asia and Europe, Enhesa has an international reach and comprehensive global regulatory expertise, offering a complete solution to help its clients ensure compliance, manage risk, save time, and increase the quality and effectiveness of their EHS and product compliance programs.

The EHS market has expanded significantly in recent years as regulation has increased and as the areas covered have become an increasing focus for C-Suites in global corporates. Rate of adoption of global compliance solutions is estimated to be growing at 20% p/a. Given the heightened global focus on environment, health and safety due to the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for Enhesa’s crucial services continues to grow apace.

CGE will use its in-house Operator Panel, which is comprised of experienced former business leaders, to support Enhesa’s growth initiatives, to provide an expert sounding board for management, and to help accelerate the company’s already impressive performance. Furthermore, CGE will help the company reinforce its status as the leading global EHS intelligence platform with support in carrying out strategic, targeted add-on acquisitions.

The team at CGE commented: “Enhesa represents a perfect fit for CGE’s strategy of investing in top-performing businesses that fulfil mission-critical services in the tech-enabled business services sector. Enhesa’s position as the global leader in EHS regulatory compliance will form a strong platform for targeted M&A activity, and we look forward to supporting Peter and his team to consolidate the company’s market leadership and drive further growth.”

Peter Schramme, CEO at Enhesa, commented: “We are excited to be partnering with CGE at such an important time for our company; the firm’s operational value creation expertise will be an important tool as we continue to expand rapidly across the globe. CGE’s engaged and supportive approach makes them the ideal partner to help us to achieve our vision for Enhesa and cement our position as the global market leader.”
